FAQ · Buying from Katalyst IT

The eight questions a WA SMB asks before signing — answered in plain English.

Pricing, response times, FIFO coverage, contract length, what happens to your data if you leave, what the Perth SOC actually does, how we differ from an interstate MSP, and what comes out of the security assessment. Perth-anchored answers — no national-queue hedging, no offshore-handoff hedging, no “it depends on the engagement”.

Plain-English answers

If the answer you need is not here, the contact form goes to a Perth analyst — not a shared inbox — and you get a same-business-day reply.

Per-user or per-endpoint monthly, scoped to your headcount, your sites and the SOC coverage window you pick. What changes the number: user count, site count, the SOC tier you need (essential, after-hours, or 24/7 named roster), and whether FIFO dispatch is part of the engagement. We run a rolling monthly invoice — no surprise project fees — and the security assessment that gets you the snapshot in writing is free.

Every SLA in these answers is written into the engagement. If a number here changes during a sale, it is a conversation — not a foot-note.

The contact form lands with a named Perth engineer. Same-business-day acknowledgement, AWST window — no marketing chase, no offshore triage queue.
